QUI SOMMES NOUS ?

La crise de la société contemporaine, qui touche toutes les couches de la société, y compris l’Église, a pour cause profonde la séparation entre la morale et la connaissance, entre la Foi et la Science.

Certains l’avaient pressenti et dit qui n’ont pas été crus. Fernand CROMBETTE l’avait bien compris.

Beaucoup s’imaginent que l’homme est le résultat d’un long processus d’évolution, qu’il descend du singe par l’intermédiaire de chaînons divers et que le singe lui-même est le résultat de millions d’années d’une évolution aveugle. On « croit » aussi que la Terre n’est qu’une petite boule bleue, née par hasard au sein d’un des milliers de systèmes que devrait compter notre Univers … étendu à l’infini selon ce que l’on nous affirme.

Perdu dans cet espace et noyé dans cette durée quasi illimitée, l’homme d’aujourd’hui ne saisit plus ou pas le sens de la vie, d’autant plus que la vision matérialiste du monde exclut toute notion de finalité -sauf matérielle- autant que toute foi religieuse, particulièrement catholique.

Le CESHE-FRANCE entend contester scientifiquement et philosophiquement l’hypothèse athée d’une matière aveugle gouvernée par le hasard.

Il soutient à l’inverse que le concept de Création, d’où les savants ont d’ailleurs tiré celui de « loi scientifique » (car pas de loi sans législateur), est le plus sûr garant pour guider la science contemporaine sur le chemin de la vérité théorique, comme de l’utilité pratique. Le divorce entre la Foi et la Science n’étant qu’un préjugé d’ordre philosophique, celui-ci, conscient ou non, amène :

  • à fourvoyer la recherche scientifique dans des impasses,
  • à en vicier les applications concrètes,
  • à mutiler certaines dimensions de l’esprit humain,
  • à confiner la religion dans la sphère du subjectif.

Depuis 1980, le CESHE développe son action en plusieurs directions :

  • Il fait connaître l’œuvre de Fernand CROMBETTE (1880-1970), savant catholique français et précurseur de génie qui, en une synthèse remarquable, sut offrir une vision scientifique cohérente du monde, en accord total avec la Révélation. « La Foi, loin d’être l’éteignoir de la science et de l’esprit, en est la lumière véritable », avait-il coutume de dire. Cette confiance dans la valeur des Écritures le conduisit à de brillantes découvertes concernant l’histoire et la forme de la Terre avant la dérive des continents due au Déluge Universel, l’histoire et la chronologie des Civilisations antiques, le caractère unique de la Terre au milieu de l’Univers …. Etc.
  • Par les travaux de ses membres poursuivis dans le même esprit, il stimule une activité scientifique originale dans le domaine de l’astronomie, de la physique, de la géologie, des sciences de la nature, de l’exégèse et des sciences humaines. Les études réalisées par M G. BERTHAULT dans le domaine de la sédimentologie démontrent particulièrement bien tout cela en remettant en question la géologie historique et par là l’hypothèse de l’Évolution des espèces pourtant largement répandue aujourd’hui.
  • Dans la ligne tracée par Fernand CROMBETTE, il s’attache à démontrer la vérité historique de la Bible par l’étude attentive de l’archéologie et de l’Histoire des Sciences humaines. Il atteste l’authenticité du texte sacré en recourant aux langues anciennes sur la base d’une méthode de lecture originale.
  • Il édite une revue trimestrielle « Science & Foi » ainsi que des cassettes audio et vidéo, publie des livres et cahiers et organise des séminaires, colloques et conférences.

En s’appliquant à établir par des faits indubitables le caractère christocentrique de l’univers, le CESHE confirme la conviction que l’Écriture -Livre Inspiré- et la Création -Œuvre Divine- ne peuvent se contredire.

Ainsi la finalité inscrite dans la nature des choses manifeste-t-elle à nos yeux le sens de la vie sur Terre, comme de chaque vie particulière, exactement ordonnées au plan voulu par un Dieu aimant, Créateur et Fin de tout être et de toute chose.

WHO ARE WE ?

The crisis of contemporary society, which affects all layers of society – including the Church – has for its fundamental cause the separation between morality and knowledge, between Faith and Science.

Some had sensed it and said it, who were not believed. Fernand CROMBETTE understood it well.

Many imagine that Man is the result of a long process of evolution, that he descends from the monkey by the intermediary of various linkages; and that the monkey itself is the result of millions of years of a blind evolution. Many also "believe" that the Earth is nothing more than a small blue ball, born by chance, just one among the thousands of systems that must be counted in our Universe ... a Universe extended to infinity, according to what we are told.

Lost in this Space and drowned in this almost unlimited duration, the Man of today no longer grasps the meaning of life, especially since the materialist vision of the world excludes any notion of Finality – except material; and even less any sort of religious faith, particularly the Catholic.

CESHE-FRANCE intends to challenge, scientifically and philosophically, the atheistic hypothesis of a blind Matter governed by Chance.

CESHE maintains, on the contrary, that the concept of Creation – from which scholars have, moreover, drawn "scientific laws" (but there is no law without a legislator) – is the surest guarantee to guide contemporary science along the way of theoretical truth, as also of practical utility. The divorce between Faith and Science is nothing more than a prejudice of the philosophical order; which, conscious or not, leads to:

  • to mislead scientific research into impasse and dead ends;
  • to impair concrete applications;
  • to mutilate certain dimensions of the human spirit;
  • to confine religion to the sphere of the subjective.

Since 1980, CESHE has developed its action in several directions:

  • It makes known the work of Fernand CROMBETTE (1880-1970), a French Catholic scientist and pioneer of genius who, in a remarkable synthesis, was able to offer a coherent scientific vision of the world, in total accord with Revelation. "Faith, far from being the extinguisher of science and mind, is its true light," he used to say. This confidence in the value of the Scriptures led him to brilliant discoveries concerning the history and the form of the Earth before the drift of the continents due to the Universal Deluge; the history and chronology of Ancient Civilizations; the unique character of the Earth in the midst of the Universe ... Etc.
  • Through the work of its members pursued in this same spirit, CESHE stimulates original scientific activities in the fields of astronomy, physics, geology, the natural sciences, and in exegesis and the human sciences. The studies carried out by Mr. G. BERTHAULT in the field of sedimentology demonstrate particularly well all this, by putting into question the conventional historical geology and by this the hypothesis of the Evolution of the Species, so widespread today.
  • In the line traced by Fernand CROMBETTE, CESHE strives to demonstrate the historical truth of the Bible by the careful study of archeology and the history of human sciences. It attests the authenticity of the sacred text by resorting to ancient languages ​​based on an original reading method.
  • CESHE publishes a quarterly magazine "Science & Faith" as well as audio and video tapes, publishes books and notebooks and organizes seminars, colloquies and conferences.

In endeavoring to establish by indubitable facts the Christocentric character of the universe, CESHE confirms the conviction that Scripture – the Inspired Book - and Creation – the Divine Work - cannot contradict one another.

Thus, the Finality inscribed in the nature of things manifests to our eyes the meaning of life on Earth – and of each particular life – exactly ordained in the plan willed by a loving God, Creator and End of all being and of all things.
